The house belonged to the headman of the Ilyinskaya Church V. Shaposhnikov. In 1872, the building was purchased by the merchant of the 2nd guild Pyotr Mikhailovich Nabokikh. It is known that Peter Mikhailovich was included in the Tyumen merchants of the 2nd guild by the decree of Tobolsk Treasury Chamber of December 11, 1872. He was of the Tyumen burghers. He married three times, raised his adopted son Ivan. He was engaged in the trade of iron and hardware goods. In the metric book of the One-faith Church of the city of Tyumen for 1913, an entry was made about the death of Peter Nabokikh. He was buried in the Tekutevsky cemetery. There was a large garden on the estate. After the revolution, the house served many purposes. One of the last, it housed a kindergarten. It is currently owned by the Ilyinsky Convent. It houses the orphanage «Otrada».
Description:
The residential building is a compact rectangular stone building with two floors, built in the style of late classicism according to an «emplary» project. Its architecture is restrained. Equal street and courtyard facades, evenly cut by rectangular windows, are organized by pilasters, crowning and interstorey profiled cornices. The plastering platbands are furnished with onion sandricks.
