Address: 25 Oktyabrya Street, 25, Tyumen.
Construction Date: 1894.
Historical Information:
The mansion was built on a plot of land near the Ilyinsky Monastery. It belonged to Anton Vasilievich Kolmakov, a merchant of the 1st guild. The main house and a wing have survived to this day. At one time, there was a sanitary-epidemiological station in the house. Then, for a long time, the house was abandoned and burnt down twice. In July 2018, the building was dismantled. A copy was built in its place based on surviving drawings. Now it houses a Korean representative office.
A wing of the estate was located at 25 Oktyabrya Street, 27.
Description:
The house was a typical example of a two-story, hewn, clapboard-covered, seven-walled urban building with cruciform double partitions under a hipped roof. The porch, traditionally, was a separate structure in the courtyard. A large veranda with cast-iron columns (later replaced with wooden beams) adjoined the rear of the house.
The facade was decorated with rich, three-dimensional carved window surrounds. Their composition included a large, rounded pediment with lush volutes, fluted pilasters with bases and stylized capitals, a figured window sill board with convex consoles and a scroll-shaped molding superimposed on it. This «frame» contained a plant ornament of lush leafy shoots, flowers, and grapevines, distinguished by a soft, painterly plasticity. The entrance porch with an arched door was also decorated with carved details.
The monument was also valuable for its interiors. The house had stoves decorated with tiles and relief majolica, various ornamental stucco work of a Baroque-Classical character, cornices, borders, and paneled doors. A fragment of the original fence has preserved.
