Description
The two-storey brick building has a rather large size and a representative «palace» appearance. Baroque and Renaissance motifs are used in a variety of architectural treatments. The main facade has a strict symmetrical structure with a raised central risalite, the axis of which is accentuated by the main entrance, a balcony and an attic supported by two slender cast-iron columns with capitals of the composite order.
The lower floor and corner pilasters are fully rusticated, semi-circular windows are framed with wedge rustication. A significant role is given to the crowning part, which includes a wide under eaves frieze, the cornice itself, a parapet balustrade with bollards and a semicircular pediment on the axis of the risalite. The arched openings in the upper floor are decorated with «broken» pediments and false lucarnas. The other windows of the upper floor are completed with large horizontal sandwiches. The side northeastern facade has a symmetrical division and rich decoration.
The layout of the house with its spacious entrance hall, staircase and grand upper rooms has been preserved almost unchanged. A wide rounded staircase leads to the second floor, very suitable for balls and receptions. The rich decoration of the interiors has been preserved: ornamental moldings of geometric pattern on the ceiling and cornices, especially rich in the front hall, arches, baroque-classicist decoration of portals with pilasters, pediments and molded inserts, filleted doors.
